2025 what the blanc - Skin Fermented Sauvignon Blanc

R 225 / bottle

Only one barrel produced

Two weeks of natural fermentation on skins, 1 gentle punchdown per day, basket pressed, and settled in older barrel. This Sauvignon Blanc and its pastel orange hue is equally elegant and cheeky, playing between black currant and peach flavors depending on the bottle. The texture is smooth and refreshing with subtle tannins, making it lovely on its own or a perfect pair with food.

Pairings: seafood potjie, salmon, creamy seafood pasta, herbed chicken, cheese board, stone fruit salad

Label design notes: This wine was accidental, and we want to personally thank the safety clip of the industrial crane for breaking. If it wasn’t for your metal pieces falling into the Sauvignon Blanc grapes that were about to go into the press (which we couldn’t find until later), we wouldn’t have had the chance to experiment with a skin contact, WTF wine.
